26 mile walk from St.Chad's Roman Catholic Cathedral in Birmingham, where his shrine and bones are kept. Then following canals - Birmingham & Frazeley Canal & Tame Valley Canal to Kingstanding and onto Sutton Park. Then in Staffordshire via Little Aston to Wall and its Roman remains and onto Litchfield Cathedral, dedicated to St. Chad, where he was Bishop. The present cathedral is a masterpiece and the only medieval cathedral in England with three towers. Here until the Reformation were kept his bones. Beautiful remote walk on a two day schedule to enjoy both cathedrals and learn about one of our own important saints.
